Aim
The Fellowship is committed to meeting the individual care needs of members of the community with physical disabilities. Its aim is to support each of them with a level of independence, according to his or her capabilities. This helps them to lead a life as full and satisfying as possible.
 
Aim
Thirty Seven people with disabilities, who were full of enthusiasm to succeed, founded the Fellowship on 14th January 1949. Their motto was and still is today 'Help us to help Ourselves'. Astor Hall has belonged to the Fellowship since 1958.
 
Astor Hall Residential Care Home
Astor Hall, Stoke, Plymouth is a residential home and the Fellowship's community centre. It caters for up to twenty six residents, the majority of whom are from Plymouth but some are from further afield. The care home also offer facilities for Respite Care.
 
Aim
The Fellowship is a registered charity. There is a team of 42 staff. The General Administrator and the Registered Manager deal with the overall management.
 
 



 
Aim
The Fellowship enjoys a membership of over 100 people with physical disabilities, who live at home in Plymouth and its outlying districts. A visiting welfare officer is available to give support.
 
Grants, donations, legacies and continuous fundraising generate the Fellowship's income. There is a full programme of entertainment at Astor Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month including concerts, choirs and other performers.
 
During the summer there are trips to places of local interest. Holidays are also arranged twice yearly. Three specially designed vehicles provide an extensive transport system.
